Lieutenant (Coast Guard) David Harewood was sentenced to dismissal from the Barbados Defence Force after being found guilty by ordinary Court Martial of Conduct to the Prejudice of Good Order and Military Discipline contrary to Section 75 of the Defence Act, Cap 159 and Neglect to the Prejudice of Good Order and Military Discipline contrary to Section 75 of the Defence Act Cap 159.

The Panel comprised of President, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Rohan Johnson with members; Lt Col Murphy Pryce, Lt Col Kenlloyd Roberts, Squadron Leader Anushka Achan, Major Paul Dalgetty and waiting Member Lt Cdr Claudio Luces-Smith. The Prosecutor was Lieutenant Jamar Bourne while Vincent Watson represented Lieutenant (Coast Guard) Harewood.
The BDF investigates all allegations of misconduct from its members and will continue to hold it members to the highest of standards of discipline and integrity.
