The Barbados Defence Force in its partnership with the Ministry of Health and Wellness have commenced conducting remote COVID-19 vaccination centres.

During a vaccination session at the St Paul’s Primary School, Officer-in-Charge of the BDF Vaccination Unit, Major David Clarke stated that the focus will be on the communities which have been identified as “hot zones” through. He explained that, the use of these remote centres, will provide the MoHW with greater reach to access and vaccinate communities, and in particular persons over the age of seventy (70) and those living with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
